THE MINIMIZER PRESENTS...
ANIMATION & VIDEO

This page contains some video clips and animations I've managed to create or collect. If you have one you'd like to see posted, send me an email!

Sorry these were offline for so long, but I've now cleared up the space limitations problem with my site. Also, each video is now posted in alphabetical order by subject.

NEW!! Champions Online: In the superhero MMORPG Champions Online, you can get smaller a couple of different ways. This page shows you how and includes some videos and screenshots.

WoW Movies: The game World of Warcraft has a couple of ways to get shrunk in-game. I took my lovely human female character, dressed her up nicely, and made some movies! Click on the link above to go to the WoW page and see what I mean!

Actimel (French TV Commercial): I don't know what Actimel is and I can't understand the commercial (perhaps some kind French speaking person will kindly email me a translation), but the SW content is excellent. A woman walks down the street, stops in front of a building, and suddenly shrinks quickly to about a third her normal size. She then has plenty of difficulty getting to her destination (a man and almost knocks her over, she coughs in some cab exhaust, and then she has to struggle to climb a staircase). VERY nice effects - a must see! (0.4MB RealMedia file)  Thanks to le frenchie for this file!

The Adventures of Gulliver (cartoon): This is a very rare animated show from Hanna-Barbera (a segment of the show "Banana Splits"). Anyway, the idea of the cartoon should be obvious. In this particular episode, Gulliver gives some medicine to a cute little Lilliputian (whose name, of all things, is "Flirtatia"), then shows his appreciation for helping him earlier on. Yeah...like any of us would've stopped with a kiss! (0.5MB RealMedia file) Thanks to ArtySF for this clip.

Alice in Wonderland: One of the better shrinking sequences, virtually seamless. She drinks from the bottle, shrinks next to the table, then runs across the room to the little door, all without the camera cutting away. Very nice FX. However, while the girl is quite cute, she's a bit young for my tastes. 2MB AVI clip.

Alice in Wonderland (Brooke Shields version): This is a clip from an old Muppet Show epsiode in which a very young Brooke (i.e., "Blue Lagoon" era) takes on the role of Alice. As this clip opens, she's stuck at giant size, but the effects reverse themselves...a little bit too much! Thanks to Theodore Shrinker for this clip! (1.5MB RealMedia file)

Attack of the Puppet People: One of the first movies with a shrinking theme. In this clip, Miss Reynolds wakes up about a foot high, wearing a napkin. (1.7MB RealMedia download)

Bad Channels Clip #1 and Clip #2: (<1MB AVI files) This was a crappy movie (see my reviews page for more info) but has several tiny women held in jars. When they speak, their voices are very high-pitched. In the two clips I've collected, they yell for help and bang on the glass, sounding quite pathetic and desperate, if you're into that sort of thing. Screenshots from these clips:

Note: In the screenshot to the left, the girl on the left is actually left behind in the jar at the end of the film (in the video clip, she is trying to get someone's attention to let her out, after the alien monster was defeated). However, in the sequel to this movie ("Dollman vs. Demonic Toys"), it is Ginger the nurse, second from left, who was supposedly stranded at tiny size. So much for continuity!

Charmed Clip #1 and Clip #2: These are from the now-infamous episode where all three of the cute young witches are shrunk by a collector demon. There are two files available. In the first, Alyssa Milano is shrunk, and utters the immortal understatement "Uh-oh!" In the second, the other two are shrunk by the same flashy lightning-bolt method. These are the best parts of the episode, which otherwise was sort of disappointing. (Each file is less than 600K RealMedia)

Dark Knight "Puppet Master" Episode: This little known show features Ivanhoe and a couple of companions (including the lovely redheaded Rebecca) roaming around fighting evil in the Dark Ages. In this particular episode, a puppet show with live characters is making the rounds, thanks to a magic amulet that can "shrink people down to the size of toys." After the leading man and lady are killed in a tragic dog accident, the bad guy decides Ivanhoe and Rebecca would make good replacements. There are four RealMedia download files here, each less than 500K. The first features the unfortunately quick Rebecca shrinking sequence (nicely done...but too bad she falls unconscious right away). The second is the moment where she first discovers she's tiny - I like the reaction on her face, but would've liked to hear her reaction. In the third, she gets the attention of her friend outside the castle, presumably having escaped somehow (we don't see her get out of the building, regrettably). The fourth features her on a donkey ride to where the other half of the amulet is hidden. The last two clips are painfully dark, unfortunately. (All files are less than 2MB RealMedia format)

Dr. Shrinker: Okay, so it was a cheesy Sid & Marty Krofft kid's show from the 1970s, but some of us fondly remember THIS as the reason we got into SW in the first place! I'm told the actress playing the girl in this show is actually older than she looks, too, which is a good thing because she spends the whole series looking awfully fine in a miniskirt! There are several clips here, and some images on the TV page, too. Clip#1 features the SW on Dr. Shrinker's desk, Clip#2 shows her sharing a cage with something a little bit scary, Clip#3 has the little lady trying to get someone's attention (and wait till you see who the giant actor is - one of those "before they were famous" moments), and Clip#4 shows a good way for a SW to get herself out of a bucket (with some help of course). All clips are less than 1MB RealMedia. Thanks to ArtySF for this material!

ESPN Ad: This ad features a really small woman (actually figure skater Tara Lipinksi) reading ESPN: The Magazine. She's sitting in a huge chair and has a giant glass of iced tea nearby. She appears to be maybe 2 feet tall. Not much happens (she just talks and reads, and near the end tosses a large subscription card away) but it's still pretty cute. (0.5 MB RealMedia clip)

Farscape "I Shrink Therefore I Am" Size Change Compilation: This is from the Farscape episode where miniaturization technology is introduced. The clip contains the best scenes from the episode in high quality format. A couple of the female characters are shrunk in the first piece, and then Aeryn rides to the rescue on a DRD! Good stuff, but too bad the episode was something of a letdown. (2.9MB RealMedia download) Thanks to Theodore Shrinker for this file and to R.D. for replacing the original lost copy!

Frigidaire Refrigerator Commercial: (2.5MB AVI file) This is one of the better tiny woman commercials I've ever seen, with some excellent special effects and no telltale matte lines to give away where the "real" items end and the props begin. In the ad, a woman goes on a quest for leftovers in her refrigerator. She climbs up on a turkey, throws a grappling hook onto the shelf above, swings across in front of a variety of bottles and containers, lands on a mustard jar, and then jumps down to her goal, which is quite literally the icing on the cake!

Gatorade Propel Fitness Water Ad: This TV spot features drops of water falling and turning into athletes. At the end of the commercial, a drop runs down the side of the bottle and transforms into a svelte female climber. The clip is very short (under 300K RealMedia file), but the girl looks quite tasty in that skintight outfit of hers. I wouldn't mind someone like that dribbling out of my water bottle!

Gilette Commercial: This ad is for a sleek-looking women's razor. A trio of lovelies dance and cavort around oversized samples of the product, the best coming at the very end as all three women are visible simultaneously (see vidcap). Plus, the blonde does have really nice legs! Thanks to Cariwebo for this clip! (0.8 MB Quicktime movie)

Hanes Ad: This wonderful ad for Hanes comfy clothing features a couple of models on magazine covers who come to life and sneak across the counter, hoping to find something better to wear. (Regrettably we don't get to see the woman take off her outfit, as this is a G-rated ad.) There are a couple of cute scenes as they make their way along hoping not to be spotted, and the FX are great, although the quality of this particular clip is not all that good. (I found it on Lifetime Network.) (0.4MB Real Media file)

Kellogs Krece ad (in Spanish): This cereal ad begins with a good-looking woman with great legs waking up and visiting the bathroom in the morning. She's only about three feet tall!! Her clothes fit normally, so either the room is supposed to be big, or being that small is nothing unusual for her...ahh, who cares? She sure looks cute at that size, climbing up on a stool to use the sink! (0.7MB Quicktime clip) [Translation of the ad, according to several Spanish-speaking readers: "Seeing with the eyes of a child, you realize that every little challenge may be huge. To help them in their physical and intelectual growth, Kellogg's offers Krece Plus--a unique low-fat mixture of carbohydrates, vitamins and calcium. Kellogg's with Krece plus. His (her) health in the best hands." (Note: "Krece" is an alteration of the word "crece" which means "grows", and could be translated as "Growz").]

Kodak ad (from Japan): This is a koonago clip featuring a tiny woman in a camera package. Who wouldn't like to find something like this for sale in their local shop? (2.3MB MPEG) Thanks to Dollshrnkr for this file!

Land of the Giants Clip #1, Clip #2 and Clip #3: These shots are some favorites from the series. Each is a RealMedia file of varying size, but less than 1.5 MB. The first is Betty escaping from a giant, who (not shown in this shot) is badly wounded. Note the really cheesy quality of the giant hand and how much overacting poor Betty had to do to pretend to be "caught." The second is the all-time classic "pencil poking" incident from the first episode. The last is the Minimizer's personal favorite, Valerie ducking the giant ruler in her cage. It should be noted that in this particular episode, the giants can't see her because of a strange dose of radiation received earlier in the show.

NEW! Lexx: This is from episode #2-14, "Patches in the Sky," in which some of the action takes place in a dream world. One of the crew's original enemies (from episode #1-02), Giggerota, returns in the dream and shrinks Xev! The clip is long and the shrinking only comes at the end, but it's worth it to see the ever-hot Xenia Seeburg cut down to size! Best of all, you don't have to slog through this mind-numbingly freaky show to enjoy this clip. Thanks to R.D. for this contribution! (8.2 MB AVI file)

Maybe It's Me: This is an ex-show featuring a girl in a somewhat dysfunctional family. In this particular episode, they take her to a birthday party at a restaurant and embarrass her so badly she imagines herself really small in her chair. There are three shrinking scenes, each as its own 1MB or smaller AVI file (you must use DIVX to view these). Some pics are also available on the TV page. Thanks to Packrat for this clip - he apparently tricked his local station into sending him the episode on tape for free! Go, Rat, go! Anyway, click here for the scenes: Video#1 Video#2 Video#3

My Life is Hell: (French) This movie is similar to the recent US film "Bedazzled," except this time a woman is the one who makes the deal with the devil. At one point, according to the explanation of the plot I received by email, she wishes she can hear what her friend is saying about her, and winds up shrunk down to a size where she can easily eavesdrop. She sure looks hot in that white outfit, too, sneaking around the ashtray and behind a statue! (3.9MB .MPG file) Thanks to le frenchie and nkondi for this file!

NEW! Polo Ad: This is an amazing, awe-inspiring advertisement for the Volkswagen Polo, a small car available in Europe and England, but not in the USA. The ad is an obvious homage to Land of the Giants, right down to the uniforms and outfits, but the characters are much smaller. The Polo in the ad is a toy car, in which the stunningly beautiful (and booted) woman takes refuge to escape a cat. Watch carefully for nifty details as the toy car is batted about the house--the headline on the newspaper, for example, and the name of the book the car hits on its wild flight to the bottom of the stairs. Awesome clip! (4.3 MB RealMedia file)

Sabrina: This is from the live-action version (not the cartoon) in which Sabrina lies to her aunts and then gets smaller because she feels small. The effects aren't bad and I love some of the dialogue ("How do I get big again?"). There's even a nice hand shot as her aunt sets her down on a table and she gets to her feet, distressed at being so tiny! (4.4 MB RealMedia) NEW! Also, I have another clip from a different Sabrina episode in which her young cousin (or whatever) turns her into a doll. Not nearly as interesting, but still, it may do something for some of you. (<0.5 MB RealMedia)

NEW! Sentai: This is a scene from a Japanese show, but that's about all the information I have about it. I don't even know what the title means, but there you are. In this clip, a monster shrinks down a Japanese woman and then sucks her up from a distance with some kind of tractor beam or something. Very strange....but the shrinking scene is quite good. (<1MB RealMedia clip)

Seventh Voyage of Sinbad shrinking sequence: This is a piece of my favorite SW movie, in which we get to watch Princess Parisa shrink! Well, okay, only her arm, but it's still one of the coolest SW scenes ever. Then there's the scene aboard the ship where Sinbad lets his tiny princess out of her little cage...the scene that made a SW-lover out of yours truly! I would SO like to see a remake of this film!! Thanks to JSL151 for these clips! (less than 2MB RealMedia files)

Strange Days at Blake Halsey High: This high-school age kid's show is set on a campus where strange events happen on a daily basis. In this episode, the main character (the redheaded Josie), already self-conscious about being short, suddenly shrinks until she's REALLY short--a couple of inches high at most! There are five clips here. In the first, she shrinks unexpectedly. In the second, she has to get her absent-minded roommate's attention (I particularly like the "It took me an hour to get up the stairs" comment!). In the third, she's on a table being stared at by her friends (the first bit of dialogue is the best..."she seems right, she has little tiny body parts!"). In the fourth, the mysterious janitor guy from the show gives her a pep talk. And in the fifth, she rides in someone's pocket to overhear a scary conversation about the school's fate. The best part of these clips is the realistic look - yeah, there's a little fuzzing around the edges, but check out the effective use of shadows and reflections! (Each clip is a less than 2MB RealMedia file)

Stripperella: This adult-themed cartoon on SpikeTV (USA) features a buxom heroine who fights crime in a scanty outfit, and is a stripper in her secret identity. In this episode, she battles Small Fry, a dwarf who wants to shrink everyone else so they're shorter than himself. Fortunately for us, he uses the device on Stripperella. There are five clips in the zip archive, all RealMedia files (sorry for the poor quality). #1 - Stripperella gets shrunk. #2 - She lounges about in her apartment and decides she's too small to be of any use. #3 - the Chief talks her out of quitting. #4 - She defeats Small Fry despite her tiny size. #5 - The attempt to re-enlarge her has unexpected side effects (this may well be the only BE clip on my entire site). (3.6MB zip file)

The Uncanny: This is an anthology film that has a shrinking sequence. A young girl shrinks her cruel tormentor using magic, and subjects her to an attack by her cat. This zip file is in AVI format and is about 2MB. Thanks to Maxcat's Realm (a GTS site) for providing this clip!

Weight Watchers ad: This is a French ad for what I assume is Weight Watchers or something similar, considering the title of the video as it was sent to me. It features a woman on a gigantic table next to a plate of food. She walks up towards it early on, then gets up and leaves later, as if moving out. I can't understand a word they say, but that's all right...she's really small and that's what's important! Thanks to le frenchie for this clip! (0.5MB RealMedia file)

Wonder Woman shrinking animation: This was made using an image from a superheroine fan site. A curvy Wonder Woman is shrunk by a supervillain. (0.8MB animated GIF)

Xena: Gabrielle Shrinks: This is from the best Xena episode ever...gosh, I can't imagine why I would feel that way, can you? Anyway, it's a relatively short clip, but you actually get to see the shrinking process (it's fast, but not so fast you can't hear her squealing in surprise). (1.5MB RealMedia download)  Thanks to nkondi for this file!
