The Shrinking Character

This vaporware game was supposed to appear sometime in 1996 or so, but never quite made it. The images below are from an article in a gaming magazine attempting to describe the concept, which would have made quite the nifty piece of software, I think. While most of the photos seem to indicate the main character in this first person adventure was male, there is a single shot of a female wireframe running from a giant spider, so it looks like playing a shrinking woman would have been possible. What a shame this game never made it to production!!

Dungeon Siege

In this game, you can shrink any of the characters to half size by selecting them and typing the cheat code "+minjooky" as if you were entering a message. "+maxjooky" will make them double normal size for all you giant fans. Type the same command a second time to restore normal height. Here is a screenshot of my two female characters "minimized" next to a male character who's been "maximized," just to show you what it looks like.

While shrunk, a small character runs at double speed, and while enlarged, a big person moves slowly, so that everyone keeps up with each other. There are no other noticeable game effects. None of the NPCs or monsters seem to notice or care that you are small or large, which is a real shame. I would also have liked to have made them much smaller (say, one foot high, or even smaller) but I guess we have to take what we can get, right?

Morrowind

Shrunk_DC messed around with the game's design features a bit and created some giant and tiny characters. Here are three screenshots. The first is a giantess character next to a normal one.

Next is a tiny character on a table next to a normal-sized one and a giant.

OK, you've shrunk...here's a view from the ground...
